There’s so much to see and do in Penang it can be difficult for a first-time visitor to know where to start. From exploring majestic Buddhist temples such as the majestic Kek Lok Si temple in Air Itam to the Thai Wat Chayamangkalaram temple (famous for its large gold plated reclining Buddha), to dazzling your senses with Penang’s world famous street food, you’ll never run out of things to do.
Your only challenge will be deciding what you’d like to do most during your stay and how to plan your day so that you can make the best use of of your time.
At Penang Insights, we understand that your time here is limited. Our aim is to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. We are 100% focused on you by immersing our guests with local experiences beyond typical tours or classes.
Create your own itinerary or choose one of ours
You may choose from one of our carefully crafted activities offering a unique insight into Penang’s diverse background and culture. Alternatively, let your inspiring local host Victor Khoo, customise a program that’s designed especially for you. Simply inform us in advance about your likes and desires and we’ll put together a bespoke program for your review and consideration. We’re more than happy to liaise with you to refine your program so that you can look forward to a wonderful day of activities when you arrive.
Every program is private
When you choose Penang Insights you will be our only customer for the day. Your trip is operated with just your party and your local host/driver. We can accommodate a maximum of three guests in your party.
We believe that a private trip is the best way to enjoy all that Penang has to offer at your own leisure and in your own time. If you wish to linger longer at a particular landmark for sightseeing or photography, or make an ad-hoc stop along your journey we’ll accommodate your wishes accordingly.
What to expect
Your host will meet you at your hotel and drop you off afterwards. Transport is a late model and comfortable air conditioned vehicle. During your trip your host will share his local knowledge and experiences on the cultural, religious and historical significance of key landmarks. We’ll take the time to stop for refreshments along the way so you can experience Penang’s renowned street food.
